More AOL Websites

Here is a link to an article from TechCrunch.

America Online (better known as AOL) is getting more online websites as a way to attract people to their site. AOL is sitting in fourth place in the information battle, right behind Google, Yahoo and Microsoft. Soon, AOL will launch 12 new websites, and in the next year, will launch 20 to 30 websites. From what I understand from this article is that AOL is only launching these websites to get money from advertising companies. I wonder why AOL has to spend money to launch more websites instead of just making the websites that they have now more information friendly!
I am not sure how many people use AOL, but I am proud to say that I do NOT use AOL. I am able to get along just fine without it, and I believe that if AOL is making new websites to attract people to it, it seems that other people are getting along without AOL as well.
